This weeks TnT asks a simple question. Do you have any writing rituals? What are they? Do you think they help, or do they constrain you by preventing you from writing if you can't do them?

You mean, other than "see that a deadline is approaching and write like mad"? No, not really - I mean, I open my computer/notebook and start writing. Maybe put on a sweater and pour some hot water so I don't have to get up, and maybe clear off my desk for peace of mind, but not really. Given enough motivation, I can write nearly anywhere so long as I have something to write on.

Yeah, that's about how I work too! Except I never clear off my desk... Those deadlines sure are magic, aren't they?

Thank goodness they exist, for otherwise I'd get a lot less done :)
