Happy Saturday! I hope you're all enjoying the weekend and that NaNo is going well for those of you participating.

A special welcome to any new members! Please feel free to jump straight into competition this week, and don't forget to take a look at our community guidelines and community icons. Let us know if you have any questions or ideas or would like to join the editing team! For our challenge competitions, such as this week, we give you a topic and a constraint of some sort. Winners of challenges will receive a small banner with their name and the title of their entry, if applicable.

Your challenge for this week is:

Topic: Invincible
Constraint: No Commas

Let me wave my sci-fi nerd flag for a minute here. One of the shows I just finished watching obsessively devouring is Stargate: Atlantis. It's a lot of fun for a million different reasons, but only one that applies here. There's a personal shield that protects the wearer from all kinds of harm, such as bullets or being thrown off a balcony. At one point, one of the more interesting off-world characters shows up wearing it, and he tells the gate team, "I'm invincible; I can't be vinced!" However, when the shield runs out of power, he isn't anywhere near invincible anymore, and even before then, it doesn't stop the bad guy from sticking his head underwater or threatening to bury him alive.

Every superhero that I can think of has a weak spot. Every villian. Every person. I've made the arbitrary decision that one of your weak spots this week is commas, so none of those in your entries! (You will notice that I've been abusing my comma privilege in telling you all about how you can't use them. Mine is an evil laugh.) What are your character's weak spots, or can someone be truly invincible? What would you do with such a power?

This is going to be a hellish competition. An entire entry sans commas? Crud monkies.

Thank goodness these are two week challenges now.
