My apologies for being a little late with the voting & topic this week. The poll was closed on time, but my sister was visiting from out of town so I waited until she left to do this. Hope I didn't throw anyone off too badly! ♥
This is the first week of the sixth contest. A special welcome to any new members! Please feel free to jump straight into competition this week, and don't forget to take a look at our
community guidelines and
community icons. Let us know if you have any questions or ideas or would like to join the editing team! Your topic for this week is:
Stained Glass
Traditional stained glass, made from adding certain metals during the glass's manufacturing, is found most often in universities as well as churches and cathedrals. True to the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words, much of the stained glass I've seen has been arranged to tell a story, especially to benefit the illiterate layperson.
However, there's always another side to the coin. A stain is typically something undesirable - ketchup on your white shirt? There are all kinds of ways for glass to have something undesirable on it, ranging from a bug flying into the windshield to accidentally painting the window instead of the wall to a cup that wasn't washed when it should have been. How will you stain the page with this week's prompt?
