Hello, friends!
Due to a typo in last week's topic post, we're going to extend the deadline until Sunday, October 3 at 5pm GMT. However, in the meantime, have a go at our week 1 topic for contest 7!
Hello to new members, and welcome! This is a new competition, so anyone is welcome to play. Please check out our community guidelines or drop a line here if you've any questions. You may also wish to check out our community icons!
Your week 1 topic is...
Torrent
A dictionary will tell you that torrents, regardless of their content, are violent. Be it rain, lava, or files over the internet, it is the hybrid of the exchange and movement of tremendous amounts of matter or ideas. Torrents can wreak havoc, or they can bring enjoyment and possibly even prosperity to those affected by the event. May a torrent of ideas sweep your muse away this week!
Entries will be due Saturday, October 9 at 5pm GMT (noon EST)
Note: Format refers to whether your entry is fiction, nonfiction, poetry, script, etc; this information, along with the word count, is used when assigning editors. Trigger warnings will be listed with your entry in the polls. Any other authors' notes may go on your entry. Good luck, and happy writing!
