So sorry for the late post today, everyone. My nephew went exploring where he wasn't supposed to and managed to break the internet. However! It is successfully repaired and now I bring you all your things.
There was only one entrant in Contest 14 (my apologies for also not being able to get the reminders out yesterday; I had hit post right as the internet died and wasn't sure if it had gone through), so congratulations to
pippin! Everyone please stop by to read pippin's entry at this link.
And now, to your regularly scheduled submissions! Let me start by offering a special welcome to any new members: please feel free to jump straight into competition whenever you feel comfortable (there are no sign-ups; simply share your link in the poll below), and don't forget to take a look at our community guidelines and community icons. Let me know if you have any questions or ideas or would like to join the editing team! Your challenge for this week is: Nearly everything we read is brought to us by a human(oid) character, which helps us to understand them. However, what about other animals? What does the horse think of his knight's quest, or the dog of his owner's evil habits? What does your trash bag think about what you put inside of it? Show us what's going on in your characters' lives from an unconventional perspective!
Submissions will close Monday, December 27, 10 pm GMT (5 pm EST).
Note: Format refers to whether your entry is fiction, nonfiction, poetry, script, etc; this information, along with the word count, is used when assigning editors. Trigger warnings will be listed with your entry in the polls. Any other authors' notes may go on your entry. Good luck, and happy writing!
