Top o' the morning to ye! This is the second week of the seventh contest. A special welcome to any new members! We're in the middle of competition this week, but please feel free to submit an entry For Love Of the Game and join a new competition next week! Don't forget to take a look at our community guidelines and community icons. Let us know if you have any questions or ideas or would like to join the editing team! Your topic for this week is:
The idea of fate and destiny is often found to oppose the idea of free will. However, many people find comfort in it - if this is my destiny, then it doesn't matter what little choices I've made, because I would have ended up here anyway. Many traditional heroes come to terms with what they perceive to be their destiny. Some people struggle against theirs the whole way - but who's to say that their struggling and attempts to do the opposite of what they imagine to be their destiny won't ultimately lead them exactly where fate wants?
